Glorious Cricket Club, a non-profit organization, was established in Singapore in 2019 by Gaurav Sharma, Gautam Vaidya, and Prashant Kotian. The club was formed with the objective of encouraging mid-career professionals to step into the active sports arena by providing the opportunity of playing the game of cricket. The club also provides its members healthy opportunities to network on and off the field.
The motto of the club is “Equal opportunity for all”. We encourage all members to actively participate in the league matches and practice sessions. We take pride in the fact that our regular practice sessions and consistent participation in league games have helped many our members to hone and improve their basic cricketing skills of batting, bowling and fielding.
The club stayed resilient through covid restrictions despite several challenges. Members stayed connected via zoom calls and small batches practice sessions. When the government started lifting the covid restrictions, the club activities have accelerated through frequent and regular Cricket Net practice sessions, enrolment in new cricket leagues resulting in more playing opportunities for the members.
